Our ZBM partners Reyes Garcia and Yahel Contreras have just landed back from San Diego where they were attending the INTA Annual Meeting 2025, from 17-21 May. This 5-day prestigious event is considered a ‘must go’ in the calendar for international IP professionals and celebrates its 147th annual meeting this year, drawing over 10,000 attendees from all corners of the globe. The 2025 fundamental theme was “The Business of IP”, encompassing Law and Policy, Business and Technology, Professional Development and Career Advancement, with over 50 corresponding educational sessions to keep experts up to date with emerging trends and changes in laws and policies. Other hot topics included deployment of AI in trademark practices, anticounterfeiting strategies, greenwashing and greenhushing, updates on the Madrid and Hague Systems and Global Database Tools, to highlight but a few.

Reyes heads up our Trademarks Department and is a Spanish Patent & Trademark Attorney. She has immense expertise in the prosecution and defence of trademarks and domain names in Spain, Europe, and beyond. Yahel is responsible for both our International and Legal Departments and is a Spanish Patent & Trademark Attorney. She is an expert in patent filings and prosecution worldwide and provides clients with legal advice and the necessary guidance to navigate the complexities of intellectual property. As partners at ZBM and legal counsels at ZBM Business Connect, Reyes and Yahel also work closely with our clients, including private companies and public research institutions, to optimize their technology transfer activities.
