About Me
Enrique studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Strasbourg and Chemistry at the University of Valencia. After a Master’s degree in Molecular and Supramolecular Chemistry, he obtained his PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Barcelona. His doctoral thesis, based on the development of immunochemical tools for the diagnosis of bacterial infections, gave his technical profile a multidisciplinary character, allowing him to acquire experience in the field of biotechnology and in the development of biomedical devices.
Enrique started his career in industrial property in a patent and trademark agency. After that, he joined the patent department of a company in the pharmaceutical sector, where he gained extensive experience in freedom-to-operate analysis and strategic patent needs of the sector. Enrique joined ZBM in 2024, where he collaborates in patent drafting, as well as patentability and freedom-to-operate reports.
He passed the European Qualifying Examination (EQE) of the European Patent Office (EPO) in 2025.
