Since 2009 she has experience in intellectual property, gained in a biotechnology company and in an intellectual property firm. She is skilled in patent drafting, patentability opinions, infringement reports and in providing technical support for the prosecution of applications worldwide.
Previously Irene was scientific researcher in the biomedical field, both in biotechnology companies and in laboratories, such as at the Spanish National Cancer Research Center, the University of Navarra and the University of Cambridge. She has worked in the areas of cancer, epigenetics, pharmacology, molecular biology and vaccine development.
In 2016 she joined ZBM, where her tasks include patent drafting, the defense of patent applications, as well as freedom to operate analysis in the biotechnology sector.
She is partly qualified through the European Qualifying Examination. She also holds the Certificat d’études de la Propieté Intellectuelle (CEIPI).
