ZBM’s Noemí Daviu has recently returned to lecture on the European Master in Translational Cosmetic and Dermatological Sciences (EMOTION), holding an informative session entitled “How to Protect Dermatological and Dermocosmetic Products”.  Illustrated with practical examples, Noemí shared her expert knowledge by outlining different aspects of IP, specifically focussing on patents, the main patentability requirements and typical filing strategies that ensure efficient protection for innovations in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic field.

EMOTION MASTER is funded by the European Union and organized by the Miguel Hernández University of Elche, the University of Piemonte Orientale (Italy), the Charité University of Berlin (Germany), and the University of Namur (Belgium), within the framework of the international Erasmus Mundus Master. This multi-disciplinary programme aims to equip student with the skills and competences to work in R&D for cosmetics, dermatological drugs and medical devices, promoting entrepreneurship to develop their own business initiatives.

Noemi is a European Patent Attorney and European Patent Litigator at the UPC with a chemistry background and has a wealth of expertise in pharmaceutical companies. ZBM greatly values opportunities to speak on educational progrmmes such as these, promoting IP knowledge and influencing the upcoming generation of innovators.
