On 19th June ZBM’s Montserrat Jané and Noemí Daviu headed to the Can Ruti Campus for the second edition of the Innomed Awards, where they joined over 150 attendees from an audience comprising researchers, healthcare professionals, and fellow company representatives. This event is to celebrate the conclusion of the GrowInn project incubator programme for 2025, an initiative led and coordinated by the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP). The program brings together seven healthcare and research institutions from the Can Ruti Campus and its surrounding area: Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute (IJC), Consorci Sanitari del Maresme (CSdM), Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital (HUGTiP), Institut Català d’Oncologia (ICO), IrsiCaixa, Institut Guttmann, and IGTP itself. The Innomed Awards highlight the importance of fostering innovation by strengthening relations between research institutions through public and private collaborations, nurturing and promoting exciting new start-ups in the healthcare ecosystem.

ZBM are proud to be sponsors of the Innomed Awards, reaffirming our commitment to promoting innovation and assisting start-up businesses by lending our extensive knowledge and experience. Noemi and Montserrat represented ZBM at the ceremony, where they handed the award to Mònica Suelves (IGTP) for her groundbreaking project ‘Time4Duchenne’, to provide our expert IP services to help her best protect her innovation.  A total of 15 new incubator projects showcased their outstanding proposals in the biomedical and healthcare fields; out of these 15, the difficult choice was made to award 5 prizes of €5,000 worth of professional services to help boost their projects and enable them to proceed with the creation and execution of their proposals following the best possible business models and strategies.

ZBM would like to congratulate the Innomed 2025 winners and thank all of the participants for showcasing their innovative work. We were impressed by the dedication and outstanding quality of all the projects who pitched innovations and wish them the best for their bright futures.
