EUIPO opens calls for grants for SMEs 2022
The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) has re-launched the “Ideas Powered for business” SME Fund, a grant programme designed to help small and medium-sized enterprises in the European Union (EU) in the field of industrial property rights. This call includes the option of obtaining: “Voucher 1” of up to €1,500 for the payment of trademark and design fees, both in the EU and outside, and “Voucher 2” of up to €750 for patents, in the EU.
The rules of the call for applications require: 1st to apply and wait for the grant approval, 2nd to carry out the eligible procedure and 3rd to prove that the procedure has been submitted in order to request the payment of the aid in the amount granted.
Vouchers 1 and 2 are independent and can be applied for at the same time or at different times within the scope of the 2022 SME Fund (between 10 January 2022 and 16 December 2022). Each voucher can only be applied for once.
Throughout 2022, grants will be available on a “first come, first served” basis until all available funds have been used up.
