On 29th November Noemí Daviu collaborated with the International European Master in Translational Cosmetic and Dermatological Sciences (EMOTION) for the fourth consecutive year by holding a lecture entitled ‘‘How to protect dermatological and dermacosmetic products. Bringing to the session her extensive professional experience in the IP field, through practical examples, Noemí highlighted various aspects of IP, especially focussing on patent protection and associated strategies for pharmaceutical and cosmetic innovations.

Funded by the European Union and organized by the Miguel Hernández University of Elche, the University of Piemonte Orientale (Italy), the Charité University of Berlin (Germany), and the University of Namur (Belgium), the Emotion Master is aimed at students who wish to pursue a career in R&D and be at the heart of development of cutting edge new medicines and cosmetics. Workshops such as Noemi’s are designed to stimulate entrepreneurship in the future a generation of translational scientists working in the field of dermocosmesis and dermatologic therapies.

Noemí is a partner at ZBM, she holds an MSc in Chemistry and a Diploma in Patent litigation in Europe (CEIPI) and is a Qualified European Patent Attorney. She has many years of hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical field, working as a medicinal chemistry researcher for a large pharmaceutical company in Germany as well as over 20 years of working in the patent profession.
