The Spanish group of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) held the XXXVII Conference on Industrial and Intellectual Property on 24 and 25 March in Barcelona.

Anna Barlocci spoke about ‘The new figure of the provisional patent application, the prohibition of added subject matter, and the validity of the priority right’. Anna was accompanied by other leading experts in the field who discussed latest issues in patents, trademarks and intellectual property rights.

Speakers included were from industry sectors and specialist IP lawyers as well as European Patent Attorneys. Also in attendance were representatives from the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO).

This year it was possible to have a face to face conference as opposed to last year’s on-line format.
