Laura Artigas holds a seminar at The Aragon Institute for Engineering Research (I3A) of the University of Zaragoza
ZBM’s Laura Artigas will impart a seminar entitled “The patent system and the path from an innovation development to the commercialization of a product” in The Aragon Institute for Engineering Research (I3A) of the University of Zaragoza on 19th September. Topics covered in her seminar will include the patent system and related ideas, key aspects of technology transfer, integration of IP (Intellectual Property) in a product/method development, negotiation tips and ideas, territory and duration, and examples of protection clauses. She will also highlight two case studies “I have created a Spin Off”.
Laura holds an MSC in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Zaragoza and is a qualified European Patent Attorney. She also has the Certificate on Patent Litigation in Europe, enabling her to represent clients before the Unified Patent Court. After three years working in a patent firm in Madrid and after several years working in a multinational company in Paris, managing a portfolio of smart water management and water treatment, Laura joined ZBM in 2018 where her work includes drafting and defence during prosecution, as well as reports on patentability and on the risk of infringement. She also has important previous working experience as an assistant examiner in the field of audiovisual media and signal processing at the EPO (The Hague).
