Óscar Rubio

About Me
Oscar has a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and during his professional career he has gained experience in several engineering fields, especially in wind energy, metallurgy, mechanics and manufacturing processes. After a brief stay in the R&D department of photovoltaic solar energy of Alstom, a large multinational company operating in power generation and railway systems, Oscar moved to the patent department of the wind energy business within the same company, where he worked as a patent engineer for 4 years. Oscar then joined Gestamp, an international company manufacturing metal automotive components, where he worked as a patent engineer and patent manager for 3 years.
In these positions, he was involved in matters such as patent strategy definition, patent portfolio management, patent development and prosecution, validity and freedom-to-operate analysis, oppositions and licensing agreements.
In 2016 he passed the European Qualifying Examination and joined ZBM. He became a partner in 2022.
Oscar also acts as a technical expert in Spanish court cases and lectures on patent matters in Spain.
In 2022, he obtained the European Patent Litigation Certificate which will give him the right to represent clients before the Unified Patent Court.
