About Me

After four years as a research scientist in a large biotech company (Novo Nordisk A/S, Denmark), in 1996 Peter took a turn in his career and moved to the patent department within the same company; he passed the European Qualifying Examination (EQE) in the year 2000. He has sound experience in all kinds of work related to biotechnology and chemistry patents, such as patent drafting, examination, opposition and appeal, searches and freedom-to-operate opinions. He has prosecuted European and PCT applications and has also been involved in substantive patent work related to US patent applications.

Peter has been a tutor in the training course for preparing the EQE organized by the Patent Centre of the University of Barcelona, and has given presentations on the patent system, for example on the European Patent Office case law in chemistry and biotechnology. In 2015, he obtained the European Patent Litigation Certificate which will give him the right to represent clients before the Unified Patent Court.
