About Me

Originally from Jiangsu, China, Jian completed her studies at Tongji University before pursuing a master’s degree in Earthquake Engineering in Pavia, Italy. In 2019, she achieved a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from the University of Liege in Belgium. From 2019 to 2023, she held positions as an assistant professor at Zhejiang University of Technology and Xi’an Jiaotong – Liverpool University in China, respectively. In 2020, she received sponsorship as a young scholar from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), facilitating her in conducting extensive tests on reinforced concrete structures using advanced measurement techniques like optical fibers and digital image correlations. From 2021, she started a part-time study at the law school of Soochow University and during that she became interested in intellectual property and specifically in patent law. Finally iIn 2022 she passed the Chinese patent attorney exam. Finally in 2024 she also obtained a MSc on Electric Vehicle Technologies from the University Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona, Spain.

In 2023 she moved to Barcelona and became a part of ZBM.
